AZONTO EVERYWHERE

Azonto is an emerging dance which is attracting and spreading so fast. It is not only danced in Ghana but around the world. Not a single day will pass without you seeing Azonto being danced by somebody. It feels good when you see someone doing the Azonto. It has became an order of the day.

It is danced with both the legs and the hands. Raising the right hand across the left hand back and front, with twisting the right leg continuously whiles you bend a bit and up. The use of the hand and turning your head gradually makes it so fun.

Kids dance Azonto like no body's business. They have a peculiar way dancing it. It is like most school kids knows how to dance it and they do it so well too. Some of them even are the ones who teach their parents how to dance Azonto.

Visitors and tourists find it so interesting that, they start learning it. Some are able to learn and pick the steps at a faster rate, soon you see them dancing it. They dance it when they return back to their respective countries.

It is danced everywhere and by different age groups too. The innovative ones add their own style to give it a different taste. Indeed Azonto has taken us by storm and it is here to stay.

ON THE ROAD TO SEYCHELLES

FEELINGS THAT COMES WITH ENCOUNTER OF PEOPLE

Sitting along the road to Seychelles, I could witness all sort of events and passer by's. This road has become one of the important roads of history. All manner of people do pass by without recognizing the high caliber of people they are.
Some come wearing shorts, snickers and hats, whiles others come with Sarine leading. I could shout and wave the dignitary passing.

ENCOURAGEMENT.
Every event leaves me with a different feeling. Some do leaves me with encouragement. Encouragement in the sense that, when I see some high level of people and their way of life, I say to my self, I have to work hard so I leave the kind of life I want and need.

STARS WALKING
There could not be a single day, that I don't come across a star, being an actor, musician, presenter,disc joker, director or a comedian. Winners of contests are always patronizing this street. This is an incredible street where things do happen.

MAJESTIC RIDING
Often you could hear people singing glorious songs passing, so when I try to peep, I could see Chiefs riding in their palanquin whiles their people sings. They joy in them for the installation of a new chief says it all. What I do is to join and sing and cheer this new great Chief and wave as they pass.

BIKE DISPLAYS
There could be times when, there will be bunch of bikers riding. Not just riding but they will all be in black attires of their choice. This signifies that, they have lost a member.When this happens, the bikers could make all kinds of styles with their motor bikers. Raising the steer of the biker whiles riding is one of the common styles among them. when I see this, it will all be claps.

CULTURES OF VALENTINE

valentine started long back centuries. This is a day for remembering St. Valentine, a philanthropic, who find a special way of expressing love, especially to the less deprived and privileged ones in the society. He found a unique way of making them smile and happy.

These unique and special ways of expressing love have been adopted since then by lovers, to show how much one cares for each other. This is now a part of culture. A day set aside to impress your lover or your to be lover.

Sitting by the side of the fire

Our towns and villages have some talents within the society. There is special skill know for a particular place. Talk about weavers, carvers, potters, carpenters and others. Basket weaving towns are all over.

Talk about food, tasty food from home, which usually is health too. This keeps our elders strong and healthy for example Kontomire Abomu ne Apem ampesie, along side Koobi.

All these being cooked from the fire from the firewood leaves old memories in our minds. The pot contains hot herbal medicine that fight against diseases. usually taken early morning and very hot.

Sitting by the fire was always a memorable one. Stories told and music sung. The tune of the drums was always heard. The sound that always put you ahead on the dancing floor. The flow of the dance matches the tune accurately.
